FAQ’s:
- Which Gold Button is right for me?
If you primarily detect in the Fixed position and use the Tracking position just to ground balance your machine, we subject the GB1.
If you detect in a lot of noise or hot ground and run your machine in Tracking most of the time, the GBX will work best for you.
- Will my Fixed/Tracking switch still work after I install the Gold Button?
Yes, the Fixed/Tracking switch will work just as it always has. The Gold Button kit is designed so that if you are in the field and something happened to the Gold Button, the handle or wire, you can still operate the Fixed/Tracking switch on the detector.
- Do I have to open up the detector or do any drilling?
Yes, the detectors Control Box will have to be opened and
a ¼ inch hole drilled to install the Jack/Wire Harness.
Our Directions are very detailed to make the installation of the Jack/Wire Harness as easy as possible. If you are not comfortable with opening your machine to install the Jack/Wire Harness, Lean Innovation Inc. will be happy to do the install for you at no charge, you will have to pay for the return shipping of your control box, about $30. This includes $3000 of shipping insurance. Another option is to have a CB or Radio repair shop in your area do this installation for you. The whole possess should not cost more than a shops minimum charge. A technician should be able to do the installation in about 15-20 minutes.
